Duration of the Program
The Program takes place over 24 months, with semester system examinations.
Centre for Executive Leadership facilities
The ISMS Bangalore Executive MBA is located in the downtown core of Bangalore. The Centre for Executive Leadership is accessible to Executive MBA candidates 24 hours a day and seven days a week for group meetings as well as individual study.
Academic Time Table
A new cohort begins each September. The in-class sessions follow the traditional academic calendar of September to April. The first year of sessions will conclude with a trip to Industrial Belt in Peenya Bangalore. Candidates then spend the summer months between their first and second year working on the Individual Business Consulting Project under the guidance of a supervisor. The second year of classes resumes in September. The Program culminates with the second trip to a Manufacturing Destination which is selected within the first year by the cohort as a part of the International Market Evaluation and Strategy course. Convocation ceremonies take place in June.
Accommodating Schedule
Classes take place on alternate Fridays and Saturdays resulting in approximately two days off of work each month.
Structure
Classes, activities, and trips are scheduled well in advance in order to accommodate work, school and family commitments in an effort to help maintain a balanced lifestyle. With the exception of the two trips, mandatory activities occur on evenings or weekends in order to limit the interference with professional responsibilities.
Signature Series of Business Lectures
One distinguishing feature of the Program is the Signature Series of Business Lectures which candidates complete throughout the course of the Program. Each business lecture features a client with a real business problem or objective. These projects allow for the application of newly-acquired knowledge to current business consulting projects by producing relevant and practical recommendations to the client organization.
One of the core components of the ISMS Bangalore Executive MBA Program is the integration of six business lectures within the curriculum. Each project requires you to work as a business consultant with client organizations addressing real business challenges and opportunities in short timelines.
At the ISMS Bangalore Executive MBA Program, there is a strong emphasis placed on teamwork and learning to work within a group environment. Five of six business lectures and case studies involve working within a team environment, where you will learn how to collaborate effectively to successfully complete the objective of each respective business consulting project. The teamwork component of the program focuses you on the reality of the global economy where you are often unable to choose the members of your team. This opportunity will allow you to learn how to leverage strengths of others, to understand team dynamics and to appreciate a process for sharing leadership and responsibility with an aim to achieve the deliverables of the ISMS Bangalore Executive MBA Program.
